2. Description of Service

SnapSum is a screen recording application that provides:

• Screen and audio recording functionality
• AI-powered speech-to-text transcription
• Automatic subtitle generation
• Multi-language translation
• Subtitle burning into video files

The Service is provided by SnapSum Team ("we", "us", "our").

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you may need to create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Subscription and Payments

Free Tier: You may use SnapSum free of charge with a limit of 3 recordings per month.

Pro Subscription: For $6 per month, you get unlimited recordings. Payment is processed through Paddle, our authorized reseller.

• Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance
• You may cancel at any time; service continues until end of billing period
• All payments are non-refundable except as stated in our Refund Policy

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Record content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights
• Record private conversations without consent (where required by law)
• Create content that is illegal, harmful, or offensive
• Attempt to reverse engineer or extract our AI models
• Use the Service in a way that could damage or impair our systems
• Share your account credentials with others

6. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain all rights to the content you create using SnapSum. We do not claim ownership of your recordings, transcriptions, or exported videos.

Our Service: SnapSum and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy. Key points:

• Audio is sent to third-party AI services for transcription
• We do not permanently store your recordings
• Account data is stored securely and can be deleted upon request

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee:

• 100% transcription accuracy
• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• That the Service will meet all your requirements

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Abuse or misuse the Service

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. No refunds will be provided except as required by law.
